Journal History

Jurnal Ilmiah Widyaiswara (JIW) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on research and studies related to the development of Widyaiswara (state instructors) and the competency development of the State Civil Apparatus (Aparatur Sipil Negara, ASN). The journal was first published in 2021 with the goal of providing an academic platform for lecturers, students, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate innovative findings and insights on various aspects of training, education, and public administration within Indonesia's civil service.

Since its inception, JIW has been published biannually, with two issues per year. The journal follows a regular publication schedule in January and July, ensuring a steady flow of scholarly work while maintaining high standards for editorial and peer-review processes.

The journal covers a wide range of topics, including competency development, training programs, human resource development, curriculum design, administration, governance, and public sector management. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial screening and peer-review process to ensure that only high-quality research is published.

Since its launch in 2021, Jurnal Ilmiah Widyaiswara (JIW) has continuously sought to improve its editorial quality, enhance publication ethics, and expand its academic visibility. The journal aims to become a reliable and impactful academic reference for Widyaiswara, public service professionals, and policymakers, contributing to the enhancement of Indonesia’s civil service training and development programs.
