Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the training program in improving the technical competence of family planning instructors using the EKO2P evaluation model.

Research methodology: This study uses quantitative methods. Population and sample are all training participants, amounting to 30 people. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire method and document analysis. Data analysis using descriptive statistics.

Results: The results showed that the components of the average training quality were satisfactory or good, while the training output was frequent or good. Thus, it can be concluded that the training to improve the technical competence of family planning extension workers has been going well / effectively.

Limitations: In this study, the EKO2P evaluation model was incomplete. Therefore, it is hoped that further research can be carried out to see the results of the training.

Contribution: The results of this study are expected to be used as recommendation material for agencies, policy makers and interested parties, so that improvements can be made to the implementation of the training and training for representatives of BKKBN Lampung Province in the future.
