Journal History
Jurnal Abdimas Multidisiplin (JAMU) is a scholarly community service journal published by Penerbit Goodwood as part of its commitment to supporting the dissemination of community engagement and service activities in Indonesia. The journal was first published in 2022 with the aim of serving as an academic platform for lecturers, students, researchers, and practitioners to publish community service outcomes that are grounded in scientific approaches and responsive to real societal needs.
Since its establishment, JAMU has been managed as a biannual journal (two issues per year). The journal follows a consistent issue schedule in April and October, ensuring publication continuity, effective editorial management, and sufficient time for a rigorous peer-review process.
The primary focus of Jurnal Abdimas Multidisiplin (JAMU) is the publication of community service works that are solution-oriented, innovative, and socially impactful, covering a wide range of multidisciplinary fields such as education, social affairs, economics, health, information and communication technology, agriculture, food security, law, and community empowerment. All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer-review to ensure quality, relevance, and academic integrity.
Since its first publication in 2022, JAMU has continuously strived to improve its journal management quality, strengthen publication ethics, and enhance its academic visibility and impact. Through consistent improvement and professional governance, Jurnal Abdimas Multidisiplin (JAMU) is expected to become a credible and sustainable academic reference in the field of community service and community empowerment, contributing to inclusive and sustainable social development.
