Author Guidelines
Jurnal Teknologi Riset Terapan (JATRA) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that serves as an appropriate medium for the publication of original research articles in the field of applied research and technology. Manuscripts reporting experimental studies, applied research, development, or technological innovations in relevant engineering and applied science fields are welcomed for review.
Guiding Principles
An acceptable manuscript must meet the following criteria:

Contributes meaningfully to scientific and technological knowledge

Applies a clearly explained and replicable research methodology

Draws conclusions that are supported by the data presented in the results and discussion

Is concise, well-structured, and written in clear academic English
Full Manuscript Format
Manuscripts must be submitted through the JATRA online submission system and prepared in accordance with the JATRA manuscript template, consisting of the following sections:

Manuscript Components
Title
The manuscript title should be concise, clear, and informative, accurately reflecting the content of the research. The title should not exceed 12 words and should avoid abbreviations and formulas.
Abstract
The abstract should be written in 180–250 words and include:

References and uncommon abbreviations should be avoided in the abstract.
Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords or key phrases. Avoid general terms, plural forms, and multiple concepts. Keywords should be suitable for indexing purposes.
Introduction
The introduction should clearly present the background of the study, define the research problem and objectives, explain the motivation and significance of the research, and include relevant in-text citations formatted according to APA style.
Literature Review
This section should review relevant prior studies, include 10–15 high-quality references (with the majority published within the last five years), identify research gaps, and use APA-style in-text citations. This section may be merged with the Introduction if appropriate.
Research Methodology
Authors must clearly describe the research design, materials and instruments, software and hardware used, assumptions applied, and procedures in sufficient detail to allow replication of the study.
Results and Discussion
This section should present research findings clearly, provide interpretation supported by data, and compare findings with previous studies and established theories.
Conclusion
The conclusion section consists of:

The conclusion summarizes the achievement of research objectives, discusses limitations, and provides recommendations for future research.
Acknowledgment
Authors should acknowledge any financial or non-financial support received during the research.
References
A minimum of 15 references is required. At least 50% must be published within the last five years and at least 50% should come from primary sources. All references must follow APA (author–date) style and be listed alphabetically. Reference management tools such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero are recommended.

JATRA applies the APA author–date citation style:

Every in-text citation must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
Tables and Figures
Tables use horizontal borders only, with titles aligned left and sources placed below. Figures must be centered, with titles and sources placed below the figure, using high-quality images.
