Pelatihan Canva untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Desain Media Guru SD Negeri 7 Salabose

Purpose: This study aims to improve the digital competence of teachers at SD Negeri 7 Salabose in designing visual learning media using the Canva platform. The program addresses teachers’ limited digital literacy and ability to create technology-based instructional materials.

Methodology: The activity was carried out through a one-day intensive workshop involving 33 teachers. It included material presentation, demonstrations of Canva for Education features, hands-on design practice, and evaluation through online questionnaires measuring usefulness, ease of use, and satisfaction.

Results: Teachers showed improved understanding of Canva’s features and successfully created posters and interactive slides. Evaluation results indicated high satisfaction, with a Reaction score of 94.2% and a Behavior score of 92.7%, demonstrating strong motivation to apply Canva in classroom learning.

Conclusions: The workshop effectively enhanced teachers’ digital competence and readiness to integrate visual media into teaching. Short, structured digital training proved beneficial in fostering innovative and technology-integrated learning practices in elementary education.

Limitations: The workshop duration was limited to one day, which allowed only basic-level mastery of Canva features.

Contributions: This study contributes to strengthening teachers’ digital competence, promoting innovative instructional practices, and supporting the integration of visual learning media in elementary education.

Strategi Konservasi Lingkungan Berbasis Kearifan Lokal: Studi Kasus Desa Kersik Tuo, Kerinci

Purpose: This study examines the role of local wisdom in supporting environmental conservation in Kersik Tuo Village, Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province.

Research Methodology: A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative data collection through interviews and participatory observation with quantitative analysis using SWOT and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).

Results: Local wisdom practices, including hunting prohibitions, crop rotation, and communal land management (gotong royong), remain actively practiced in Kersik Tuo Village. However, these practices face pressures from modernization, environmental degradation caused by intensive agriculture, and declining awareness among younger generations. SWOT and AHP analyses identified three priority conservation strategies: strengthening customary institutions, integrating local knowledge with modern science, and enhancing community participation.

Conclusions: Local wisdom has significant potential to serve as a foundation for sustainable and adaptive environmental conservation, particularly in responding to contemporary ecological challenges.

Limitations: This study is geographically limited to Kersik Tuo Village, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings to other regions with different socio-cultural conditions.

Contributions: This study contributes to the development of community-based conservation frameworks by demonstrating the strategic importance of indigenous knowledge systems as a complement to scientific conservation approaches.

Purpose: This study aims to formulate an integrated economic policy strategy to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Sungai Penuh City through sectoral integration between agriculture and trade.

Research methodology: The study applies an applied policy research approach using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), regional planning documents, and local government reports (2020–2024). The analysis includes regional economic assessment, trend analysis, value chain analysis of agriculture–trade linkages, policy evaluation, and comparative analysis of policy alternatives.

Results: Agriculture and trade contribute over 40 percent of regional GDP but remain characterized by low productivity and limited value added. Economic growth has not been fully inclusive, as indicated by slow poverty reduction and persistent income inequality. Existing policies are fragmented and sectoral, limiting effective integration among agriculture, trade, and MSMEs. The development of inclusive agricultural–trade economic clusters emerge as the most strategic policy option to strengthen value chains, enhance productivity, expand employment, and improve income distribution.

Conclusions: Inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Sungai Penuh City requires an integrated economic policy framework that strengthens sectoral linkages and supports local economic transformation.

Limitations: This study relies solely on secondary data without primary or micro-level analysis.

Contributions: This study provides an evidence-based policy framework for designing integrated and inclusive regional economic development strategies in non-metropolitan areas.

Strengthening Community Economic Capacity in Sei Selincah through Gambier Jelly Candy Innovation

Purpose: This community service initiative was developed to strengthen local economic capacity and promote the utilization of indigenous natural resources within community-based enterprises.

Research Methodology: The program specifically aimed to empower the residents of RT 01, Sei Selincah Subdistrict, Kalidoni District, Palembang City by introducing an innovative value-added herbal product in the form of gambir-based jelly candy. To achieve this objective, the service activities included program socialization, partner needs assessment, and technical training sessions that used simple kitchen equipment.

Results: Participants were also trained in product packaging and labeling using basic branding tools like a label sticker paper, as well as in production cost calculation through spreadsheet software and simple marketing strategies using social media platforms. The pre-test and post-test results demonstrated a knowledge increase of 61.82%, with the average score rising from 62.67 in the pre-test to 94.85 in the post-test.

Conclusions: The results demonstrated a notable increase in the participants’ technical skills, knowledge, and confidence, as evidenced by their ability to independently produce gambir jelly candies and initiate a small-scale home-based business. Limitations: Overall, the program effectively enhanced community competence, encouraged local product innovation, and supported long-term economic empowerment.

Contributions: These outcomes contribute to sustainable livelihood development and strengthen the community’s self-reliance in creating functional herbal products with added value.

Internalization of Cultural Legal Values among Elementary Students in Kuala Lumpur

Purpose: This study examines how cultural legal values are internalized among elementary school students in Kuala Lumpur, and how this process strengthens their awareness of cultural heritage rights as part of their national identity.

Research Methodology: The study was conducted at Sanggar Bimbingan Pantai Dalam through an International Community Service Program involving 15 upper-grade elementary students (aged 10–12). It applied an educative-participatory approach within a juridical-normative framework, using culture-based learning materials, multimedia resources, discussions, simulations, and case exercises. Data were obtained from pre- and post-tests, complemented by observations and reflections, and analyzed descriptively to assess changes in learning outcomes.

Results: The findings indicate an improved understanding of cultural heritage and greater awareness of cultural rights, reflected in higher post-test scores and more active participation. Students also demonstrated stronger moral responsibility for cultural preservation and increased tolerance in a multicultural context.

Conclusions: This study concludes that integrating cultural legal values through structured classroom learning, co-curricular activities, and teacher role modeling effectively strengthens students’ knowledge and character development. This approach supports the development of legal awareness and respect for cultural diversity from an early age.

Limitations: This study had a small sample size, single-institution focus, absence of a control group, brief implementation period, and evaluation methods that emphasized cognitive outcomes. Future research should involve broader samples, longitudinal designs, control groups, and more comprehensive assessment tools.

Contributions: This study contributes to legal, multicultural, and character education by offering a practical model for value-based cultural learning in elementary schools.

Pemberdayaan UMKM Desa Semat melalui Pembinaan Pencatatan Keuangan Usaha Berbasis SAK EMKM untuk Desa Wisata

Purpose: This community service program aimed to improve financial literacy and bookkeeping skills among MSMEs in Semat Village, Jepara, supporting sustainable business decisions and promoting local tourism based on regional products.

Methodology: The program targeted 30 MSMEs, providing two days of training on SAK EMKM templates and Excel-based bookkeeping. Participants then received one month of intensive mentoring focused on daily transaction recording and separating business and personal finances. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests.

Results: Participants showed significant improvement in both hard and soft skills. Financial recording skills rose from 20% to 88% (+68%), and the ability to separate business and personal finances increased from 12% to 84% (+72%). All participants demonstrated the ability to identify positive cash flow and prepare independent financial reports.

Conclusions: The mentoring program successfully enhanced financial literacy, laying a foundation for sustainable business practices and long-term growth in Kembang Turi based village tourism.

Limitations: The study is limited by the short mentoring period (one month) and small sample size, which restricts long-term impact measurement. Additionally, no control group was used.

Contributions: The study provides a practical financial management model for rural tourism-based MSMEs, offering insights for academics, policy recommendations for local governments, and templates for practitioners.
